Thor Park is a place where research, entrepreneurship, and technology come together every day. Within this innovative ecosystem, we are proud to welcome Wally Automation as a new resident, developing its autonomous construction robotics through Open Thor Living Lab.
Wally Automation is a small but ambitious team of six, working on an autonomous robot for building interior walls in residential construction—a technology with the potential to fundamentally transform the construction sector. Recently, Wally reached a significant milestone with its first residential project, a clear confirmation that their solution is ready for real-world application.
Open Thor Living Lab supports Wally in exploring innovation opportunities, connecting with the right research partners, and making full use of Thor Park’s unique infrastructure.
Wally Automation at ConstrucThor
A large part of Wally’s technological development takes place at ConstrucThor (KU Leuven), the specialized test and development environment for robotics and advanced construction methods at Thor Park. Here, the team can test its technology in realistic conditions and work closely with KU Leuven researchers to further refine their solution.
