FacThory is the new building at Thor Park that will be the center of its smart manufacturing ecosystem. The complex will consist of three levels, containing production units, lab and test area, and office space. In addition to the building, Thor Park will invest in machines and equipment to offer pilot and contract manufacturing services.
The benefit of being present at FacThory is that by bringing different types of companies together, they can use each other’s expertise to improve their own product. Tech companies can use the machines on the production floor to showcase their technology, while production companies can use the knowledge of process experts and implement technology from the start of their production to improve their productivity.
In order to keep CAPEX investments as low as possible, Thor Park provides a project manager industry 4.0 and the required machinery. The focus is on three domains:

FacThory is a project supported by the European Regional Development Fund (EFRO – project 1383) and the Flanders Innovation & Entrepreneurship (Hermes Fund). The financial support amounts to respectively 5.2mEUR and 1mEUR.
