Innovationday: E-mobility

On 9 May, EducaThor and T2-campus organise an innovation day on e-mobility. Students, teachers and other professionals interested in e-mobility are welcome for an instructive day full of interactive workshops.

What is on the programme?

Workshop 1: EV’nAR (in cooperation with wwww.diagnosecar.be)

The Diagnose Car project gives schools access to a variety of modern cars with network technology, diagnostic equipment and technical data. In this way, they provide students with the necessary basic competences and schools keep up with a rapidly evolving sector.

After a short presentation of Diagnose Car and the goal of the project, you get to work yourself. With the help of a HoloLens you learn how to work safely on an electric vehicle. A true AR experience!

Workshop 2: The ins and outs of racing cars (in collaboration with www.formulaelectric.be)

Formula Electric Belgium is a student team that builds a new electric racing car every year to compete during the summer in Formula Student competitions all over Europe. Students put their theoretical knowledge into practice to develop a racing car within the framework of green mobility.

During the workshop, participants get to work hands-on to discover for themselves how an electric racing car works by carrying out various experiments. This way, you will get to know all the different parts of the electric racing car; from the choice of materials to the drive train, the aerodynamics to the electronics.

Workshop 3: TBA (in collaboration with www.solarteam.be)

The Agoria Solar Team consists of passionate engineering students who together build solar cars to race them all over the world. In this way, they demonstrate the power of green energy and prove that Belgian technologies and companies are at the forefront of innovation.

The Agoria Solar Team will take you through the secrets of the BluePoint, its eighth and most successful solar car to date. With the BluePoint, the team became world champions in the 2019 World Solar Challenge in Australia and also European champions! Find out all about their innovative developments in terms of steering control, regenerative braking, efficiency in energy consumption and so much more. You will also get the chance to brainstorm with the Solar Team about possible innovations for the future.
